What does fashion mean to you?

       The first clothes man made were for the purpose of covering man’s nakedness. Since then it has being called fashion, evolving into its own industry.

       Today, clothes are still used for the same purpose as centuries ago, but it has become more expressive. More than self-expression, fashion is a means of self-empowerment and confidence. 

    Believe it or not clothes give us this sense of comfort and confidence. Being able to change up and express how we feel through our clothes is like a super power. 

     Fashion can change your interactions with people based on them perceiving you a certain way by the clothes you choose to wear.

     Fashion can also be used to pass a message without saying a word. A lot of designers have used fashion to pass important messages from “stop body shaming” , “equal women rights” to even “stay safe”. 

     So to answer the question that began this post “what does fashion means to me?”  Fashion is an outlet for me to express myself.
